Totley All Saints recognises that pupils with SEND have the greatest need for excellent teaching and are entitled to provision that supports both achievement and enjoyment of school. Within the classroom, children receive quality first teaching where our teaching staff work together to design lessons and learning environments suitable to meet the needs of all our pupils. We have developed our Ordinarily Available Provision offer which outlines universal strategies, adjustments, and resources to help every learner thrive in a mainstream environment. Where the SEND is higher, we have strong links to outside agencies and are proud to offer enhanced support. For each and every child, we seek to develop our knowledge and understanding of how best to support them on an individual basis.
Ordinarily Available Provision Offer
At Totley All Saints our first priority is to protect pupils by creating a mentally healthy environment that promotes play, care and safety. We interpret behaviour as a form of communication and believe that even the most challenging or non-verbal ones are an expression of unmet needs, emotions or sensory issues. At school we recognise that children's journeys towards authentic self expression and social acceptance may be challenging. By validating 'Masking' efforts and creating safe spaces, we aim to develop a genuine confidence within all children that comes from being truly known and accepted. Below are research based approaches and strategies that support our children's emotional regulation.

For further information about the arrangements for the admission of pupils with SEND please see the SEND policy below. The school's Equalities and Disability Equality Policies identifies the steps taken by school to ensure that all pupils are treated equally. We strongly believe that through growing and learning together, every child has the right to achieve their full potential.
