At Totley All Saints, we like to celebrate the sending off of our Y6s in style!
We are obviously extremely proud of all that our children achieve whilst with us & always miss them greatly. However, we know that going off to secondary school & their future lives is what we have prepared them for.
As part of our celebrations, the Y6s take part in a graduation (complete with gown & mortar board), have a special assembly remembering all of their wonderful learning experiences & share refreshements together with their teachers & families.
This year, we were fortunate enough to have a member of the Gideon’s Society come in to present the Y6s with their own copy of the New Testament. Children are also given a special TASS pen & autograph book to fill with everyone’s good wishes for the future.
Parents often get together to organise some form of social & celebration afterwards in order to mark the transition from this school to the next – sometimes including limos & even zorbing!
Who knows what budding artists, musicians, scientists, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, authors, mathematicians & future Prime Ministers we might have fostered!
Class of 2018!
