Useful Information

School Hours

The school day starts at 8.50am. Reception, Y1 and Y2 classrooms may be open from 8.40am for you to share a book with your child but they remain under your supervision until the bell goes. If you arrive at school after the bell, the doors may be locked in which case please enter via the main door and ask the office to buzz you in.

KS2 children may arrive from 8:30am & will be supervised on the playground until school starts.
Playtimes are at 10.20am (KS2) and 10.40am (KS1).
Lunch break is from 12.00pm until 1.05pm
Assembly is at 2.55pm
School ends at 3.25pm (3.20pm for Reception).

Severe Weather

In the case of severe weather, please listen to Radio Sheffield for information on school closures. Information may also be available from this website. If parents are signed up to Parent Mail, then emails / texts will also be sent out as early as possible on the day in order to help parents with their organisation. Whilst we will make every effort to keep the school open, it is always a good idea to consider what your arrangements would be for childcare if the school were to close.

School Dinners

School dinners are £2:40 per day. Dinner money for the next term is £12:00 per week.
If paying by cheque, please make it payable to “Totley All Saints School” and write your bank card number on the back. If paying by cash, please put dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on it and hand it to the office on Monday mornings. It is appreciated if dinner money can be sent to school on the first day back after the holidays. All meals must be paid for in advance.

Car Parking

The area around the school main entrance is very busy and congested so for your child’s safety please bear the following in mind:
Cars should never be reversed into the school drive.
Parking within the school gates is restricted to staff and Disabled Badge holders only. The school must be accessible to emergency vehicles at all times.
We would also ask you to be considerate to our local residents and never block their access – even for short periods.
The managers of all  local pubs (The Cross Scythes and The Crown) have all very kindly allowed us to use their car parks at both ends of the school day. Please use these car parks and treat them with respect and ensure that you supervise your child(ren) at all times.

Change of address/contact telephone numbers

We sometimes have difficulty contacting parents who have changed their address or emergency telephone numbers, without informing school. If you do change address or have a new daytime telephone number e.g. new place of work or child care arrangements, please inform school immediately.

Illness / Absence

If your child is ill, please telephone the school on 0114 236 1934 as soon as possible on the first day of absence.
If your child has a medical/dental appointment during school hours, please send a note to the teacher with details of when and where your child will be. Before you pick your child up for the appointment, please call in at the school office for an absence pass that can be presented if approached by truancy officers.
