At Totley All Saints, we want all of our children to be safe when coming to & from school. As such, we do regular updates on road safety with our children as well as send out frequent reminders to parents & carers about how to pick up & drop off their children whilst keeping them free from harm.
Road Safety for Children
THINK! Education is the Department of Transport’s website that provides great information for both parents on how to help keep children safe on the road as well of lots of fantastic games & activities for children. Free road safety resources can also be ordered from the Department of Transport catalogue.
Renault Safety Matters online is also a great website providing road safety games & activities to reinforce correct behaviour when using the road.
Keeping our Children Safe – PARKING!
As parking can be an issue around the school site, parents & carers are politely asked to park their cars either on Baslow Road or in the car parks of the local pubs. Those dropping children off are asked not to park on zig-zag lines or to block the access to local houses & driveways. Parents & carers are also asked not to park in on the pavement area outside school between 8:30-9:00am & 3:15-3:45pm. This is because there will obviously be many children around & we know from experience, that they are not always easily seen. In following these rules together, we know that we can keep our residents happy &, most importantly, we can keep all of our children safe!
