Prayer Day

Each year we have a special Prayer Day where we concentrate on some aspect of prayer & do lots of fun activities.

Focuses have included the Lord’s Prayer & what this means, as well as how prayer can help us when we’re upset or worried.

Activities have included children working individually, in pairs & groups & often have a writing or art & crafts outcome.

The day ends with a very special assembly where the children share what they have learned & made often with a special guest.

We find that days like this are enjoyed by the children as it allows them to discuss their feelings, develop emotionally & promotes well-being. The children are also given opportunities to reflect & pray if they wish to, which can be very refreshing amidst the business of that learning!
