Extra Curricular Activities

Throughout the school year we have a varied programme of school events, including: the Easter, Harvest & Christmas Church services, whole school concerts & productions (Christmas & Summer), Sports Day at the English Institute of Sport, Mini-Olympics Day, Aspire Day, Global Week, Book Week, Maths Week,  Online Safety Week & Cultural Week.

All our children visit museums and other places of interest. Recent trips have included: Kelham Island, Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, Whirlow Hall Farm, Jorvik Centre, Arc Archaeological Site, Losehill Hall, The Magna Centre, Moorlands Discovery Centre, the Victorian Classroom, Castleton, Eden Camp, Aston Butterfly House, Sheffield Mosque and Bishop’s House.

Y4, 5 & 6 also have residentials which have included visits to The Oaks Centre, Robin Wood, Kingswood, Edale & Thornbridge.  To see our full programme of outdoor visits, please click Visits & Residentials Overview

Throughout the year, we also offer a varied programme of activities during school lunchtimes and after school, including: athletics, orienteering, cross country, football training (with professional club coaches), basketball, knit-ting, chess, music lessons (piano, recorders, brass and woodwind), choir, dance, theatre skills, circus skills, Mad Maths, Mad Science & many more!

Clubs for the Year 2021-22:

This year’s clubs for the Autumn term include the following:

Monday:  Multi-sports Club after school (KS2), 

Tuesday: Chill Zone Club (KS1), Young Voices Choir

Wednesday: Adventure Club (KS2)

Thursday: Catch Coaching Football Club (KS2)

Friday: Gemini School of Dance Musical Theatre Club (KS1 & KS2).

Plus daily Baily Cup activities with Mr Johnson  & Game Activities with lunchtime supervisors.

Spring term clubs often include the following:  Cross Country at lunchtimes plus Short Tennis Club, Adventure Club, Chill Zone, Choir (lunchtime), Catch Coaching Football Club plus Gemini School of Street Dance Street Dance Club.

Summer term often include the following: Baily Cup with Mr Johnson (lunchtime), Adventure Club, Chill Zone, Cross Country, Athletics Club, Choir, STEM Kids Club,  & Catch Coaching Football Club plus Gemini School of Street Dance Street Dance Club.
