Year 2
Dear parents & carers,
As you are aware, Sheffield schools are closed again due to the Coronavirus (COVID- 19). We want to minimise the impact this will have on your child’s learning so Online learning sessions will be via Zoom every day. A timetable & the activities and resources set by Mrs Brown that are needed for the following week, will be posted here on Fridays.
There is a bank of ideas below to help your child to continue learning and consolidating their understanding whilst they are away from school.
Children may well be using the internet more than usual at the moment so it is a good time to emphasise how to keep safe online. CEOP have produced lots of great resources which can be accessed at:

- Read lots of books
- Write book reviews
- Create a quiz about your book
- Practise times tables/number bonds
- Play shops with coins and work out change
- Use measuring and weighing to cook or bake something tasty
- Create your own five part story
- Create your own traditional fairytale
- Make your own game and write instruction for how to play it
- Research and write a biography about your favorite author/sports person/courageous advocate

- Make up songs for each of the times tables
